  • Merry Christmas !!!

I pray you all are safe and blessed!

I slipped out my back door last night down my ice glazedsteps in the freezing rain, and landed on my rump three stairs down   **ouch**
I'm ok, just hurting, it scared me, cause I hit so hard, I was afraid I broke my hip, cause you know I am so old!  So, I rolled over and landed in a puddle of icy water, ick.  Freaking out, I crawled up the stairs and made my way inside grabbed my phone and called my daughter and said if I  pass out call 911!!!!  I did not pass out, and wound up laughing myself to tears about 10 mins later, I think out of shock!

Note to self, when freezing rain, STAY INSIDE!!!

Other than that, I'm ok.  More or less just skimming through the holidays, a little rough, but not terrible.  More sad than anything.    We went to dads tonight and it was fun and chaotic, Ki is with T at the moment and I'll have to go get her in a bit, then do it all over again tomorrow.  I'll be glad when this is over.

    Have a safe Christmas!

    **edit
You know when I think I get to the end of God's goodness for me, He comes through AGAIN so BiG it takes me a few mins to understand . . .  Tonight I was up puttering putting the meager gifts I was able to get the kids, under the tree when at midnight, the phone rings.    My land lord asks if I'm still up and if he can come over.  He is actually the property manager for my house, which is actually a "parsonage" but since their pastor and youth pastor have their own homes, they use my house as a money maker and or mission.  Well, a couple weeks ago, he and I talked and he has been kept up to date of my situation.  No job, T out, lost his job, etc.,  so he calls me and tells me the church is behind me 100% and is going to work with me to keep me and the kids here and wants to know what they want for Christmas.  I was overwhelmed :)  Well, the church secretary told me to have my list to her by a certain time/day, and they would have it delivered by the 21, but the day I got it too her, she had already left for the day, so I hoped, but figured it was too late.  Then the 21 came and went, and I saw all the members gather and disperse and we did not receive a visit.  So, I just figured I was too late, and was ashamed that I couldn't even follow simple directions.

SO . . .  my property manager and a friend comes to my door tonight with two boxes filled with wrapped presents!  Now my tree overfloweth!  God is so good!  I am so blessed.    I have been so blessed by my own church, this church family, my birth father even drove all the way down here, and I haven't seen him in years, to drop off a "gift."  I am amazed, and speechless! PTL!

I have always found that God performs His miracles through His human-tools.  After all....He shall always remain a Carpenter, amongst other Titles.  So, once again, He used His "willing" servants and made your situation a good one with "just enough."  How utterly wonderful.  I am so glad for you.  I suppose I don't have to guess your Christmas was "merry."  Bless you and may you continue to know God's abundance and benevolence.

    Hello Ms. Kari,
You made your site simple yet elegant. The pictures are a nice touch. You may be surprised to know that the early Christians did not celebrate Christmas because they considered the custom to be a pagan one in honor of many gods, such as Jupiter and  Saturn. It still is today!
I like to write articles about Jehovah God on my site. I want to help people to really get to know God, especially in these troubled times. The Bible has an important message for us: "On that day of judgment," says the LORD, "I will punish the leaders... and all those following pagan customs." (Zephaniah 1:8) (NLT)
